Windows Vista 32 bit. A driver update program informs me that the driver version installed is dated 6/21/06 and is currently out of date. Latest driver recommended by the program is dated 7/11/08. When I tried to install the driver I was informed that a newer version was already installed. Installed driver is v 9.3.0.1026, the latest according to the update program is v 9.1.0.102. Intel's web site shows the Vista driver version as "Windows Vista 9.0.0.1009 08.22.2010".
Intel's site also states the following:
We haven't got the latest driver (9.0.0.1009) for your operation system (Windows Vista). You can download version 7.0.0.1011 (released 43 years ago)
Would someone clear this up for me please.

Windows Vista operating system lacks many software supports even by popular developers. Try changing your operating system to Windows 7 or windows 8.
I have removed this program from my computer by mistake. I have been trying to restore it but with no luck. I have also tried to download it but can't do that either. Can you help with this matter?
The driver is available from Realtek website. Identify the right version in the table then you'll have the possibility to download it to your computer. It's recommended to use a download manager if you have a fast Internet connection.
